Our land acknowledgement: We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territory of ‎ the Attawandaron (Neutral), Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Art$Pay and its membership is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes ten kilometers on each side of the Grand River. The land we occupy has a rich artistic history that we acknowledge to have existed for thousands of years before our arrival. That artistic practice continues to be created, performed and evolved by Indigenous people in this territory which adds to our community’s understanding and appreciation for the land we are on, the people who are still here, and the environment around us. For that, we are thankful.

Many thanks to the City of Kitchener and Waterloo Region ArtsFund for making this exhibition and interview possible.

Reach out to Art$Pay and we’ll put you in touch or contact her through her website. Thanks to Heather for her time being interviewed on the Blue Couch.

Thank you to the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund for funding "Window to Waterloo Region" at 44 Gaukel! This funding allows Art$Pay to pay the artists involved in the year-long project to install and remove their art work. It is important to recognize that the work of artists takes time and they deserve to be compensated for that time.
